In hot news coming for Rajinikanth fans, it seems that the upcoming superstar will by singer Shankar director.
No official word has been made in the project yet, but the news is taking his rounds in Kollywood circles after an entertainment journalist Twitter that the actor-director duo are likely to work together again.
Rajinikanth has acted in two films Shankar far-‘Sivaji ‘(2007) and’ Enthiran ‘(2010) – and both were great successes. There were earlier rumors that they would be making new equipment for Enthiran 2. However, the new project will not be Enthiran 2 reported.
AR Rahman, a habitual Shankar, will be composing music for the film. Lyca Productions, which had produced ‘Kaththi’ Vijay is likely to be the producer of this big budget film.
The names of filmmakers A.R. Murugadoss and K.V. Anand presented in previous reports suggesting that one of them would be directing the upcoming Rajinikanth.
Shankar’s latest film was the hit “I” with Vikram and Amy Jackson in the lead roles. Last match Rajinikanth was ‘Lingaa’ which proved a failure at the box office.

It is said that lyca Productions, which had produced “Kaththi” Vijay, will finance the project. Other details are secret and will only be revealed in the coming days.
Before, it was said that Shankar would partner with Bollywood star Aamir Khan for a multilingual film. Prior to those reports, said the filmmaker would direct Hrithik Roshan. Now, these reports seem to have become false.
At the other extreme, there are also reports that Rajinikanth has been associated with AR Murugadoss for an action movie thriller. Aascar Ravichandran was in talks with superstar for a mega-budget project.
