Report of the box office of the first weekend of “Sachin”
The legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkars drama documentary drama “Sachin: A Billion Dreams” has raised Rs 27.85 crore in its first weekend at the box office, according to the creators.
The film premiered on May 26 in Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu and English.
“Sachin: A Billion Dreams records exceptional collections for a bio-drama, mints Rs 27.85 crore (all languages) on its opening weekend,” reads a statement issued on behalf of the makers of the film.
The film, in spite of being in competition with great artists like “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion”, “Half Girlfriend” and “Hindi Medium”, and the Hollywood film “Pirates of the Caribbean: Vengeance of Salazar” His presence felt at the box office despite his unique genre, said trade expert Taran Adarsh.
“Sachin: A Billion Dreams” has a wonderful opening weekend, but in general the documentaries have little prospects at the box office, but this is an exception, “Adarsh said Monday.

Narrated by Sachin himself, the movie takes viewers on a journey of inspiration and tells how a local boy based in Mumbai became the “Cricket God”. He offers several photographs and videos of Sachin’s past and includes interviews with his fellow cricket players and family members.
