Shah Rukh Khan is busy preparing for release Christmas this year with Dilwale scheduled to hit screens on December 18 While most of the public is eagerly awaiting the release of the film that brings back the jodi of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, we at Bollywood Hungama hear Shah Rukh Khan, whose production company Red Chillies Entertainment (RCE) is co-producing the film with Rohit Shetty Productions, has apparently aimed at a whopping Rs. 230 million rupees which will supply selling various rights. Now with this in mind, we give you the scoop and the breakdown of meticulous planning Khan.

Distribution: (domestic Rs 130 cr + Rs 40 cr overseas; Total Rs 170 cr..).
Although there is no confirmation from the producer in the numbers (from Red Chillies Entertainment believes in not sharing any figures, except for updates box office collection) we managed to get a break from it. Interestingly, RCE same Dilwale distributed in the domestic market and has already sold the film rights to several independent distributors to total a whopping Rs. 130 million rupees. At the same time, overseas markets play an important role in the overall box office collections. ICE is in talks with several distributors abroad, of which the Yash Raj Films (YRF) is a front runner and tentatively, sales abroad is valued at Rs. 40 million rupees Yet another interesting point here is that the creators of the film have kept the sum of Rs. 40 cr as a minimum guarantee (MG), plus a buffer overflow collections above this amount.

Along together, it expects revenue from the sale of rights of national and foreign film makers looking for an impressive Rs distribution. 170 million rupees.

Music: (sold to Sony for Rs 15 crore.)
At the same time, while its common knowledge that Sony has acquired the rights Dilwale music, we learn that the music giant has shelled out an impressive Rs. 15 crores therein. However, a source within RCE denies saying the figure is quite low, “Music Dilwale rights sold to Sony will be higher priced of the rights to date in the industry, rather than the Salman Khan movie (Bajrangi Bhaijaan) that sold for Rs. 18 crores “. However, despite this comment, the source would not disclose the actual amount. But what remains to be seen is how the music business Sony and RCE goes well in terms of a component peak between cash component and promotions with the norm being a 50-50 split. However, since the film has Shah Rukh Khan, the same division can go one way 60-40%.

Satellite: (Rs 45 million rupees of expected revenues.)
Further adding to this we hear Dilwale manufacturers are also in the midst of negotiations with different channels to satellite television and movie rights. In fact, the minimum income is expected from this sale as established by RCE is Rs. 45 million rupees. Again business acumen of Shah Rukh Khan shines through the RCE planning on inserting a clause added to the agreement which states that if the box office collections Dilwale cross a certain benchmark (say Rs. 250 cr ) at the box office, the overall rate of rights satellite / TV would proportionally increase.

However, here comes the interesting part. The joint selling of rights (domestic distribution, Overseas, Music and satellite / TV) RCE is to make an impressive Rs. 230 million rupees, while Dilwale production budget is estimated at Rs. 75 million rupees (Production Cost Rs. 60 cr + Print & Advertising Rs. 15 cr) excluding fees of Shah Rukh Khan. Thanks to this effective and meticulous planning, the creators of the film, RCE and Rohit Shetty Productions, the ability to earn approximately Rs. 155 million rupees as pure profit, even before the premiere.
