Abhishek Pictures has acquired Hindi hit 2 States remake rights for Rs 55 lakhs is planning to rope in real-time love birds Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu to play lead roles in the Telugu version of the film.
Although Chaitanya may not have problems starring in the film, Samantha who is waiting for good scripts has to make decision on this. In fact, if Chaitu okays the film, Sam may not object to romance him on-screen one more time.
The film is about a Telugu guy and a Malayali girl making efforts to convince their parents for marriage. Traditions and relationships is core point of the film.
If things go well, Samantha will play a Malayali and Naga Chaitanya will essay a Telugu guy, so the subject suits them and their real life relationship will add charm to it.
Venkat Kuchem who has worked with VV Vinayak for nearly 10 years will be making his debut as director with the film. Prakash Raj, Rao Ramesh, Ramya Krishna and Revathi are likely to play crucial roles as lead pairs parents.
While Chaitu is waiting for the release of Premam and Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo, Samantha hasn’t signed a new film after the outing of Janatha Garage.
