Samsung can unveil the Galaxy S9 in January
Samsung unveiled its award-winning Galaxy S8 smartphone in March, with global sales starting a month later. According to a new report from The Bell, Samsung could change the launch cycle of its Galaxy S series next year.
The report suggests that the Galaxy S9 will be released in the month of January and will likely hit the shelves sometime in February. The information is based on the rumor that the company will start shipping the OLED panels to the next devices in November, which is almost three months before the assembly of the devices is expected to begin.
For now, this is just a speculation, as Samsung is still to confirm the existence of the device. However, if rumors turn out to be true, the Galaxy S9 could tell the light of day before ever.
A bunch of smartphone giants is expected to unveil their smartphone star at MWC in Barcelona, which usually takes place in February or March. Launching the Galaxy S9 may also prove to be an advantage for the company to compete against the powerful iPhone that will launch this month.
