Stuttgart: Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis lost his first match as a doubles pair of women as he crashed out of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix.
It first pairing of Petra Martic and Stephanie Vogt pulled a stunning straight sets, 6-3, 6-3 on Wednesday.
Martic and Vogt were playing together for the first time and had a Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) doubles title between them.

Martic and Vogt were playing together for the first time and had a Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) doubles title between them.
Before Wednesday’s loss, Sania and Martina won back-to-back-to-back titles in Indian Wells, Miami and Charleston, a career that helped India to become world No.1 player in women’s doubles.
After losing three straight 3-all at the fall of the first series, seeded No. 1 Hingis and Mirza showed some encouraging signs as they jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second set, even holding a 3- point 0. But the first couple of Petra Martic and Stephanie Vogt argued that game and broke back to even the set at 2-all, and happened to pull a stunner set straight, 6- 3 6-3.
Hingis and Mirza wins in Indian Wells, Miami and Charleston not only saw them shoot up to No.1 on the way to Singapore twice leaderboard, the journey of a year for the doubles event at the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore by SC Global, also boosted Mirza at No.1 on the WTA Doubles Rankings, the first indigenous woman in tennis history to rise to No.1 in singles or doubles.
Considering the credentials of both teams was a victory of David and Goliath like. Hingis and Mirza entered the game 14-0 together with 70 WTA doubles titles between them – 44 of Hingis, 26 for Mirza.
Martic and Vogt were playing together for the first time and had a title WTA doubles between them.
The other two doubles matches saw the favorite flower, No.2 seed Caroline Garcia and beating Katarina Srebotnik German wildcard Antonia Lottner and Carina Witthoeft 6-3, 6-3, and No.3 seeds Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Lucie Safarova British pair beat Jocelyn Rae and Anna Smith, 6-2, 6-1.
