On Wednesday, another key consequence of the nationwide sensational rape case took place. Justice moved in front of the victim. The judge recorded the victim’s statement that she was being treated at AIIMS by the Delhi High Court order. Special Judge Dharmesh Sharma has taken up an interim court set up at Jayaprakash Narayan Apex Trauma Department in AIIMS. The accused MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar and Shashi Singh were also present. They were taken to the AIIMS from Tihar Jail.
On September 7, the Delhi High Court ordered the proceedings. The audio and video were not recorded at the request of the Medical Superintendent. CCTV cameras were set up but stopped. The victim, who was on her way to visit her cousin at the Embassy Jail, is believed to have been killed when a traveling car collided with an undisclosed vehicle. Before this happened, the victim had written a letter to the Supreme Court stating that she was being threatened by relatives of the accused and that she was life-threatening. The accident occurred ten days after the letter was written. This has led to protests all over the country.
On June 4, 2017, MLA Kuldeep Sengar approached a woman named Shashi Singh, saying he would give her a job. The victim is a friend of the MLA and the victim has been raped by the MLA. The investigation revealed that she was outside the room when Sengar raped the girl. The CBI is continuing its investigation into the case. While the father of the young woman was arrested by the police, his death in police custody is under discussion in UP. The MLA in the case and his brother are currently in jail.
