TDP legislators suspended detained, released
Hyderabad: Spokesman Party Telugu Desam in Telangana Assembly Errabelli Dayakar Rao and Leader Attachment A Revanth Reddy were among four MLAs suspended from the party that were taken today in custody when they tried to enter the building of the Assembly here said police.
The TDP MLAs wanted to know Madhusudhana Chary S Speaker to discuss their various demands, including the revocation of the suspension of 10 party legislators prevented from attending the ongoing Budget session for staging protest in the House.
However, police did not allow them to enter the complex of the Assembly.
“Revanth Reddy and Dayakar Rao were four TDP MAs who were taken to police custody when they were trying to enter the premises of the Assembly. They were later dropped out,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Division Saifabad) Surender Reddy told PTI .
The TDP legislators were staging protests and demonstrations since March 10 against his suspension and placed under protective custody by the police on previous occasions as well. On Tuesday, a rally was held in front of the camera the President of the Assembly.
The opposition legislators were suspended by the President after refusing to tender an apology for a protest during the speech of the Governor on the opening day of the budget session and for allegedly insulting the national anthem.
Tension prevailed at the premises of Telangana legislature on Thursday when security personnel arrested lawmakers Telugu Desam Party opposition (TDP) to enter the building.
Ten legislators, who already were suspended from the house throughout the budget session, faced embarrassment when security personnel prevented them entering the building.
The opposition lawmakers had a heated argument with security officers, questioning the curbs in its movement in the assembly. The police intervened and evicted legislators.
Lawmakers on Wednesday were prevented from addressing the media at the point of media in assembly facilities. Later the Governor ESL Narasimhan were called to complain.
Lawmakers, who were suspended throughout the session, due to the alleged lack of respect for the national anthem during the governor’s speech on March 7 have been staging protest assembly facilities in one way or another.
Lawmakers led by TDP floor leader E Dayakar Rao on Tuesday staged a sit-in camera speaker seeking the disqualification of TDP legislators, who had defected to the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) in recent months.
The TDP legislators who defected to TRS include T Srinivas Yadav, who has now become a minister.
They are also unhappy with Speaker Madhusudhana Chary injustice done to them in seating arrangements.
