Telangana IT Minister meets Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella in the US

Telangana police on Tuesday warned people against entering into any financial transactions with non-banking financial companies (NBFCs) that have been barred from doing business by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

Additional Director General of Police Crime Investigation Department (CID) has published a list of 31 such companies, whose certificate of registration had been canceled by the RBI, in an attempt to alert the public.

The move comes close to hand in a series of financial fraud that had come to light in Andhra Pradesh involving the money of hundreds of small depositors. AP police had joined the properties of two companies, including Group Gold Stone, who had allegedly cheated depositors by not paying the money in the end of maturity.

Some of the names listed by the Telangana NBFCs CID on the list of 2094 companies whose certification of registration was canceled in September 2014. The list, which also includes a group of companies based in AP, is available on the driven website.
