Telangana Run to start the training fete days
HYDERABAD: Telangana Government is all set for the celebrations a week to watch Training Day on June 2, marking a year of formation of the new state.
The 10 districts in the newly formed state have been prepared for the celebration of ‘Telangana Training Day’ that will witness a series of events as part of a week-long celebration of culture and the struggle (statehood) Telangana scale.
The official celebrations, to be held from 2-7 May, will have a series of cultural and literary programs, along with a series of events that will showcase the rich history and culture of the new state.
Telangana state was formed as 29 of the country on 02 June last year, after it was carved out of Andhra Pradesh.
The celebrations begin with wreaths paid Gun Martyrs Memorial Park in Hyderabad on June 2, displaying the national flag in all government offices, paraded by the security forces in Parade Grounds and pictures shown by various departments to be followed by the distribution of prizes, BP Acharya, Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture, said.
In memory of struggle and sacrifice made during the formation of the state, the government plans to hold events covering all fields, from literature to music in all districts throughout the week.
Moreover, citizens of the state who have lent their significant services in their respective fields would be honored each with a cash prize.
At the district level, the celebrations begin with the payment of tributes to the martyrs Telanganga June 2. Many places in Hyderabad and Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi would be organizing these events for the public, he said.
“The history of Telangana was very symbolic and heroic. With its first anniversary, we are preparing for this carnival of seven days. The idea is to create a party atmosphere everywhere .. we want people to celebrate,” said Mr. Acharya.
Cultural programs will include musical performances, events on Telangana film, dance ballet by renowned artists, folk art performances, folk songs, ‘yaksha Gaanam’, comedy shows, as well as seminars and cultural programs presented in several states celebrations.
For the first time in the state, illuminating 3D mapping will be done in the Clock Tower, Statue of Buddha and Kachiguda train station in the city, said Mr. Acharya.
Raj Bhavan, Necklace Road, Hussain Sagar, Lumbini, pillars of Metrorail, traffic signs and government office buildings will be illuminated brightly, he said, adding, there will be fireworks for 15 minutes at 15 locations in and around Hyderabad.
Daily programs will highlight the cultural identity of communities such as Sikhs, Gujaratis and Maharashtrians, among others.
Ghazal singer Ghulam Ali highlights will be presented at the June 5 Charminar.
The Telangana Golf Association will host the first inter-State Golf Championship in Hyderabad Golf Association since June 2-5.
A food festival Telangana and ‘Dawat-e-Hyderabad’ was organized in People’s Square.
Movies notable filmmakers from Telangana as Shyam Benegal and S Narsing Rao will be screened at Lalita Kala Toranam, the official said.
Artistes of Telangana ‘Sanskrutika Sarathi’ will embark on a “Telangana Sanskrutika Jaitrayatra ‘, covering two districts in one day. The Yatra will start at Necklace Road here on June 2 and return to the Tank Bund in Hyderabad, June 7 .
Anganwadi workers and women SHG groups in large numbers are likely to participate in the demonstration.
On the day of departure, more than 5,000 artists from different districts participating in programs added Mr. Acharya.
