Telangana: Senior Congress MLA Kishta Reddy passes away
Superior Telangana Congress MLA and Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) P Kishta Reddy died after a heart attack Tuesday.
74-year-old Reddy, MLA Narayankhed in Medak district, died in sleep at his residence in Hyderabad, his son Sanjeev Reddy said.
The senior official was in Hyderabad to attend the meetings of the PAC and he did not wake up until 8 am today, which was unusual, he said.
Kishta Reddy was unconscious and was taken to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
His body moves Narayankhed later in the day and the funeral will be held Wednesday, Sanjeev Reddy added.
Reddy, deputy four times, is survived by his wife and four children.
Born on October 2, 1941 in the village Panchgama Narayankhed mandal of Medak district (nearby Hyderabad), the MLA was gold medalist in Law from Osmania University in Hyderabad.
He entered active politics in 1970 and became its panchgama Sarpanch hometown and later served as president of the Panchayat Samithi 1981-1986.
He was elected to undivided Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 1989, 1999, 2009 and 2014.
Narayankhed He retained his seat in 2014 despite a wave in favor of Telangana TRS.
