The Madras Supreme Court notified Congressional leader Vijayashanti that she was seeking her presence in court during the hearing of a land dispute case.
Inderchand filed a petition in George Town Court complaining that he purchased property belonging to Vijayashanti in Egmore in 2006. He claims to have paid Rs 4.68 crore out of the total amount Rs 5.20 crore and has power of attorney as well. However, the court had dismissed this petition.
The petitioner submitted a favorable judgment to the High Court. In addition to directing both parties to opt for an out-of-court settlement, HC notified Ramulamma to ask him to appear in court on Monday.
Since her defeat in the 2014 polls, Vijayashanti is not active in politics and she continued to behave like an outsider in the Congress party.
