Three-day conclave of TDP starts in Hyderabad

TDPHYDERABAD: three days of Telugu Desam Party conclave began at Gandipet on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Wednesday.

TDP President and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the conclave lighting the lamp 34a, displaying the party flag and paying tribute to party founder NT Rama Rao.

It also inaugurated a photo exhibition and a field of blood donation on the occasion.

The main party leaders including ministers in the central government, ministers of state of Andhra Pradesh and deputies and legislators both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana attend the conclave.

The ‘Mahanadu’, the first after the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, is set to pass a major political resolution raising the regional party to a national holiday.

The conclave will take stock of government performance TDP in Andhra Pradesh and discuss ways to strengthen the party in Telangana, where it is in opposition.

It is expected that the ‘Mahanadu’ to form two separate two states Telugu commissions.

Chandrababu Naidu’s son N Lokesh, who is expected to be entrusted with a key responsibility was the center of attraction. Harikrishna actors NTR children and BALAKRISHNA also hogged the limelight at the opening.

The party has arranged a large scale for the conclave. TDP leaders said special arrangements were made to provide drinking in view of the heat wave water.

Gandipet is decked out for the occasion with yellow party flags, banners, welcome arches and cuts party leaders.

The conclave was opened after a colorful cultural program, highlighting the rich cultural traditions of both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The ‘Mahanadu’ discuss the implementation of election promises, granting special status to Andhra Pradesh as promised by the previous UPA government led by Congress, the national state projects and the construction of the new capital city of Andhra Pradesh Polavaram, Pranahita and Chevella.

The party intends to introduce 34 resolutions – 21 for AP and 13 Telangana.
