In a sudden event, the central leadership of the Congress Party has replaced Telangana PCC President Ponnala Lakshmaiah with former Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, who is president working state unity today.
AICC President Sonia Gandhi signed orders appointing Mr Uttam Kumar as the next leader of the party. Mr. Lakshmaiah and Uttam Kumar Reddy Mr. President and President of Labour, respectively, in February, on the eve of the elections were made.
According to sources in the State Congress, Mr. Uttam Kumar is in Delhi after citing the high command.
