The first ever Nandi awards announced by the new state of Andhra Pradesh are in a soup. The Nandi awards for the year 2013 seems to be the reason behind all the online war between fans.
While 2013 saw films such as Pawan Kalyan’s Attarintiki Daredi, Mahesh Babu-Venkatesh starrer Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, all major awards such as Best Film, Best Actor have been conferred to Mirchi besides in four other categories.
Naturally, this has not gone down well with the diehard fans of Pawan, Mahesh. Since fans of Pawan have already had bad blood with fans of Prabhas who earlier even took it to streets, now the fuss over Nandi award best actor and best film FY 2013 are being questioned by Pawan fans who took to social media to vent out their anger. And of course it is countered by Prabhas fans. As the online war is now going on, AP state government and Nandi awards jury is mum. It’s learnt that Jury broke its heads before zeroing in on Prabhas’ Mirchi as they too stuck between Pawan, Mahesh & Prabhas.
Meanwhile, one more shocking thing is that the Best Director has been conferred to Daya Kodavaganti who made Alias Janaki. Barring the point that the film has a good social message, it has nothing great to get Best Director award. It can be recalled that the film received extremely poor reviews for its bad taste.
