WhatsApp’s ‘Status’ has outperformed its counterparts, Instagram and Snapchat, traversing more than 250 million active daily users. WhatsApp launched its Q2 2017 earnings showing that the company has exceeded the milestone of one million daily users; With users who currently send 55 billion messages and 4.5 billion photos a day.
WhatsApp made its ‘Status’ feature live on February 24 this year, which allows users to send photos, videos and GIF throughout their day with friends and family. Instagram launched the story feature last August and reached 150 million daily users in January.
Facebook also introduced the identical feature on its platform in late March.
